This picture is a fanart for Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly, one of my all time favorite games. It's the Kiryu twins..... Akane one is the one that's alive(left), and the other is a doll that was made to look like her twin sister Azami after they performed the crimson sacrifice ritual(one twin kills the other, Akane killed Azami). The doll twin becomes possessed by an evil spirit because Akane believes so much that it is really her sister. Seeing this, their father(the dollmaker) steals the dolls eyes and hides them. The eyes were apparently what let the doll "live", so when the father takes the eyes, the doll dies.
Akane is trying to wake her up. O_O Very morbid, but very cool all at once. Play the game. Now.
This picture has been on my computer for MONTHS. I kept putting it off because the background was annoying. Well, now I've rushed to get it done tonight, and here it is. I'm not really happy with the finished product, but maybe I'll fix it later. I may even redraw the damred thing... *sigh*
u finished it - and the background came out great- i know that u were having trouble with it, but it came out amazing - not to mention the rest of it [HAIR!]
Zomg. <3 Fatal Frame. My friend use to bring Fatal Frame II over my house and we got through a good percent of it here... XD That game creeped me the fuck out, especially because I was the designated controller operator for most of the time o_o;
Probably the thing that scared me the most was the "Hidden Ghost - Peeking boy" who happens to pop out of nowhere in the window. XD I also hated the mourners. </3 I liked the pole bearers.. They looked funny o_o; I hated the twin with the bum leg too x_x; She kept getting in the way.. I could talk about the game forever xDDD *shakes fist* If I'm ever brave enough I'll get the games. xD;; They rock. As does your lovely lovely picture. <333 It captures the essence of the game >D
Thanks! It was fun when I just started messing around with the lighting and shading, and it made it look really cool. And yes, delightfully dark 'n twisted.

I thought it would be a good idea to do the highlights in that yellowy color to make it look light a lamp shining on them from above-ish...... did it work?

YaaaaaaaY!!!!! You like Fatal Frame! 'Tis a very fun game... I'm played through it so many times...... yeah, the little hidden boy is scary as hell. O.O The first time I found him by accident, and I think I threw the control at the TV afterwards. XD Right now, I'm playing through the third game. It's soooooooo much scarier than the second...... *shudder*
